Humpback
Your broad tail arches elegantly rising above the ocean only for an instant. Receding back into the waters depths. Suddenly a misty spout shoots skyward from your blowhole “”Oh great whale!”
In the dark deep blue I hear your haunting sounds. moaning, groaning, clicking, creaking age old melodies serenading an unseen audience. The mysterious song of the Humpback. I’d like an encore please…..
In the frigid waters, bubbles rising from the depths, “trapping the herring” Without warning, the entire school has disappeared. Swallowed in your gulping lunge.
Your world…… how unique and obscure. Yet mother and calf held together in close bond, sparring males singing those enchanting songs of the sea continue…….
